About Me
Lisa Kuhn
Founder, Impact on Point
I am a social impact professional and nonprofit leader with more than 20 years’ experience in multi-sectoral and sustainable solutions to development challenges such as food security, women's empowerment, access to affordable and adequate health care, financial inclusion, education, and enterprise development. Additionally, I have extensive experience developing and implementing practitioner-friendly monitoring and evaluation systems, designing strategic and learning meetings, and using participatory research methods to develop and assess programs and products. I have provided training, assessment, and capacity-building services to more than 35 organizations in 22 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
In my career, I have been driven by a desire to change systems to create opportunities for people everywhere to reach their fullest potential. After receiving an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, I held a number of technical, policy, and leadership positions in microfinance networks including Freedom from Hunger, Opportunity International, and FINCA International. I served as Vice-President for Programs in Latin America for Freedom from Hunger where I helped bring integrated microfinance, health, and business services to over 1 million women through more than 100 local Latin American partners. I launched the Andean Microfinance and Health Community of Practice and am the author of several articles and book chapters exploring the gender dimensions of development.
